Sears Toe-Behine Sprayer

Sears has a tow behind Sprayer, 15 gal, 35PSI, for $260. I would like to tow this behind my NH TC30. However it would take some wiring to get back there.

I thought that maybe I could just put in a 12v Battery (maybe deep cycle or something) and run the sprayer off of it. I do not have a lot of property that I would do - just the fence rows so maybe it would be a two hour job. I don't know how big the pump is but I was wondering if any of you knew anything and if a 12V battery would give me a couple of hours.

Yes, a "stand-a-lone" 12V battery on that sprayer will last you a couple of hours. But I'd recommend hooking up a battery charger right after you finish so it'll be charged for the next time you use it.

Also, check with Norther Tools at 800-533-5545 for a tow behind sprayer. a 26 gal with boom sells for $289. A 16 gal with sprayer and boom for $249.

BTW tapping in to your tractor's 12v system takes two wires, hot and ground. With the "blade" male/female type connectors makes connections easy. Good luck. ....

I think you would be happier with a sprayer without wheels and mounted on the tractor- you will have much more mobility. The simplest approach is to strap it on the hood and hook it to the battery with alligator clips. Another option is to mount it on a carry-all or pallet. It could be powered by the tractor's electrical system or a separate battery (a garden tractor battery will last a long time). ....

I have a Fimco 50 gal tow behind sprayer that I use with a JD 445. I installed wiring from the tractor battery that runs to the back of the tractor. Two wires, one "hot" and one ground with an inline fuse. I also installed a switch box near the seat so turn the pump on and off. Works very nice, and you don't have to fool around with a separate 12v battery. Also use the same setup with my Thompson spreader. Just be sure you put an inline fuse in the system. ....
